Well at least he's free, and if the DNA evidence does reveal the killer, hopefully they'll be found.

If he wasn't guilty why would he make such incriminating statements against himself? Such as "They'll be coming for me" as he looked in the direction of Jacie's place.Before anyone even knew she was murdered?And why act like this? "Dewey had provided investigators with false information and given bogus
information about a wound on his arm that prosecutors believed had been
inflicted during the slaying"?

And then there is the lab work concluding that is was a mix of her and his blood?There was way to many things going against him here.No wonder he was convicted of this.Why do and say things like this?You know damn well it's not going to help your case one bit.Sounds to me like even though the DNA was not his,he was still there and involved in some way.

One more thing?How would there even be a finger print on a bar of soap that had been placed into ones vagina?You would have to be so loose that it didn't touch any part of the outsides/inside of it.That makes no sense.

This story reminds me of "The Innocent Man." It's the one John Grisham story that is actually true. It's about a baseball player who was convicted of murder and put on death row, only to be found innocent years and years later. The things that poor man went through are just God-awful... I hope this man didn't have to suffer as much during his stint...

Did the DNA reveal who her killer is?

WOW, 16 years...I'm hoping that it didn't harden him but chances are, it did. Here's truely a misfortune. Another piece of proof positive that we do have innocents in prison. I hope the state will do the right thing and get this man counseling, college and a large amount of restitution for his unlawful incarceration. He is well deserved to a minimum of $25 million for his pain and suffering as well as assistance to aide him in readjusting to what is by now, a seriously futuristic and strange new world. It's a shame that LE didn't have better means to convict in the past. My larger concern is for RD. Will he be able to readjust? More importantly, how long will it be before he ever trusts LE again. A shame I'm telling you.
