Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: Dobler allegedly accelerated through the cone zone, tossing the driver's body 120 feet. He insisted he hadn't been drinking. If not, how to explain why he was almost triple the legal limit? Westword has the story.

I was surprised he made it to his car to start with...geesh... again I say, if you are gonna drink, pass out in a ditch somewhere til morning and then drive home when you are sober
Exactly what I told my kids..... Don't worry about waking me up. Much better to get up in middle of the night and come and get you and drive people home than have to go to the morgue and identify bodies.
I have have said the same to both my children many times and still do even though they no longer live with me I will always go out of my way to get them home safe no matter how old they are!
The thought of me killing someones innocent loved ones would stop me dead in my tracks every single time!! But as you can see by what we read here,some people are seriously brain dead so that pretty much explains their thought process.
Absolutely, I mean really, if you know you are going to go out and get shitfaced... make sure you have a ride... I've always told my son, don't care if you are out with friends or not, if ya'll have been drinking, call me I will come get you, doesn't matter what time, I would rather loose a little sleep than lose my son!
I've gotten my drunk on in the past where I went way over the limit (never was stupid enough to drive though) so I can get why they do it. (Although it's been years since I've had more than a drink or two now.) What gets me is why they can't just think ahead and have cab money or a designated driver or plain old just drink where you plan to sleep. It's not a lot of trouble to do, and the benefits more than outweigh the risk.
