The Plano, Texas police department are working the city's first anti-gay hate crime case after a man was pistol-whipped for defending his two female friends. The two women were holding hands when they were approached by two young men who began making "derogatory sexually-oriented comments," says Plano PD. Dallas Observer has the full story.
