Stolen $3 Million Henri Matisse Painting Recovered on South Beach

No one knows exactly how long Henri Matisse's 1925 painting Odalisque in Red Pants had been missing from a museum in Venezuela, because whoever swiped it swapped it out for a replica. The museum finally realized it was displaying a fake in 2003 and has been looking for it ever since. Well, the FBI finally uncovered it on Tuesday during an undercover sting involving black market art dealers at a hotel on Miami's South Beach. Miami New Times has the story
