Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: Prosecutors are trying to prove motive for the theater shooting as a way of combating the insanity defense. Hence, the mention of a mysterious phone call to a hospital where the doctor worked. But was he still her patient? Westword has the story.

They should release all his school records, e-mail, Fenton's file on him. Everything. They don't have a right to decide what the public knows and doesn't know. If they think they do, they should be sent to Russia.
He could have gone to any er or police station for help. He's clearly mentally ill, but what to we do with the truly criminally insane people?we toss the key for ever? I mean look at John lennons killer, he's really made remarkable progress. This guy needed help, tried to get help albeit not hard enough but now what we do with him? He's totally disassotated with reality. And that's some kind hard nut to crack. It's help him case if he cute that ode to carrot top oof the tops of head. It's creepy.
