Man Who Filed Fake Dead Cat Insurance Claim Tried Same Stunt with Fake Dead Parrot

Next week 29-year-old Yevgeniv M. Samsonov will be sentenced for trying to bilk PEMCO  insurance out of $20,000 by filing a claim over a dead cat that never existed. But, according to the Washington State Insurance Commissioner's office, it's not the only time he's tried such a stunt - having filed a similar claim regarding a fake dead parrot (that was actually a parakeet). Seattle Weekly has the story.
