Maurice Clemmons was shot and killed during a traffic stop, perhaps the best possible ending to this story
From our sister paper, Seattle Weekly:
A Seattle Police officer, checking on a stolen car in south Seattle,
shot and killed suspected Lakewood cop killer Maurice Clemmons, police
announced this morning. The shooting ended a two-day manhunt here and
in the Tacoma area after ex-con Clemmons fled the Sunday morning Pierce
County crime scene where four Lakewood police officers were ambushed in a coffee shop.
The unidentified lone arresting officer, a seven-year veteran, was
not hurt in the Rainier Valley incident, although Clemmons was armed
with a gun he took from one of the dead officers Sunday, police said,
but was unable to get it out in time.

The band Furious Styles thinks it’s a good day whenever a cop is killed, hence the T-shirts
Earlier this month, we told you about the assassination of Seattle police officer Timothy Brenton, who was shot in a drive-by Halloween night as he sat in his squad. Another officer was wounded.
Police believe the senseless murder was the work of criminal justice student Christopher Monfort, who was shot when he pointed a gun at detectives who were trying to interview him at his apartment building.
Obviously, it was a stupid and senseless murder. As Seattle Weekly notes, “The city saw the murder of a cop as a good time to remember that peace
officers have a very dangerous job and we should be thankful for the
work they do.” But hardcore metal band Furious Styles saw it as a way to get publicity selling T-shirts that celebrate the officer’s slaying…
The murder occurred during a violent struggle in suburban New Orleans
From Caleb Hannan at our sister paper, Seattle Weekly:
Former Seahawks player Terreal Michael Bierria, 29, has been
arrested on one count of first degree murder after a violent struggle
in a New Orleans suburb left one man dead. St. Tammany’s parish
deputies in Slidell booked Bierria after he placed himself at the
apartment where authorities found 29-year-old Soron Salter dead.
When they arrived on the scene deputies found the front door
partially opened with blood smeared on it and Salter on the floor
behind the door. Investigators say Salter had wounds that indicated a
violent struggle. Witnesses told police that a gray Cadillac had been
parked at the scene until just a few minutes before they arrived.
