Seattle police training officer Timothy Brenton was sitting in a squad with student officer Brit Sweeney Halloween night, reviewing a traffic stop. Suddenly, a light-colored compact car pulled up next to them and opened fire.
Neighbors say they heard eight to 10 shots, possibly from an automatic or semi-automatic weapon. Then they heard about six shots fire back. When it was all over, Brenton was dead, killed instantly. Sweeney, who was able to get off return fire, was injured and taken to the hospital...
Two masked robbers armed with shotguns walk into a Buffalo corner store to take it down. Unfortunately, they ran into a regular customer named Bruce -- no last names, please. The Vietnam vet simply walks up to the stunned bad guys and grabs the gun, then pushes them out of the store. One guy bolts, but the clerk pulls the gun away and holds the other bad guy till police arrive.

Hillsborough County, Florida, Deputy Kenneth Moon, 64, was at his desk when he was suddenly attacked by inmate Douglas Burden, 24. As you can see in the video above, Burden, jailed on drug charges, puts the older man in a choke hold and begins to strangle him.
But that's when another inmate jumps in and delivers a wicked shot unto Burden. Other inmates jump in to subdue our bad guy.

The next thing they know, robber Wayne Winston kicked in the door waving a gun and demanding their money. One of the victims thought they'd never emerge from the incident alive. "We were sitting there talking and all of sudden the door flies open and this guy steps in with a gun," the man told 10-TV. "He stuck it in my son-in-law's face first, and he said, 'Everybody knows what the game is here. I want your money and I want your jewelry...'"

Wade Edwards: Naked daughter? Naked boyfriend? Armed dad? You knew this wasn't going to end well.
Wade Edwards arrived at his Apopka, Florida home in mid-afternoon to find his 16-year-old step-daughter. Unfortunately, she was in bed. Naked. With 18-year-old Julian Harp. Also naked.
So dad being a dad, he closed her bedroom door and went to load his gun. Harp quickly deduced that he'd gone from wanted to unwanted guest. But before he could get his ass in high-gear -- the recommended for this situation -- Edwards had returned, gun locked and loaded.
"He said, 'Get out, get out, get out of my house," Officer Ed Chittenden told WESH-TV. "He raised his hands and said,
'Please don't shoot, please don't shoot...'"
