Cathouse star Brooke Phillips and another woman were shot before the home was set aflame
David Allen Tyner, a suspect in the murder-arson case that left four people dead in Oklahoma City, has turned himself in after an arrest warrant was issued. Police believe he may be responsible for the murders of Milagrous Barrerra, Brooke Phillips -- who appeared in HBO's Cathouse series -- and two people still unidentified.
Tyner has yet to face official charges, but since Barrerra and Phillips were both pregnant, he's expected to be hit with six counts of homicide. Both women were shot before the house was set on fire. Because the bodies were so badly burned, police are having a hard time identifying the victims...

Early reports say Major Malik Nadal Hasan was among the shooters
Three soldiers went on a shooting rampage this afternoon at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas. Initial reports say that at least a dozen are dead, with more than 30 others wounded.
So far, there's been no motive released in the case, but at least two soldiers have been arrested. The principal shooter, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, is believed to have been killed. He's said to be a psychiatrist who was promoted to major only a few months ago, but was pissed about an upcoming deployment to Iraq.
Witnesses say they saw more than one shooter in the attack that took place about 1:30 p.m. at the Soldier Readiness Center, where servicemen get medical screening before being sent overseas...

Instead of just killing himself, Billy Maxwell Jr. slaughtered his entire family
"I think these men that kill their family and then themself are all mentally ill. how can anyone justify taking the lives of the people closest to them because they can't deal with life? cowards commit suicide, and ass hole cowards take their family with them when they do."

Mass murder suspect Howard Unruh has died at age 88.
Howard Unruh, 88, was known by historians and those in law enforcement as the modern face of mass murder following a horrific shooting rampage that unfolded during a 20-minute time span in the 3200 block of River Road in the Cramer Hill section of East Camden, New Jersey. That section of River Road became known as the "walk of death" after Unruh threatened his mother, with whom he lived, with a wrench and left their home with a 9mm pistol he had purchased in Philadelphia for $37.50. The incident occurred in September of 1949. Unruh died this week of natural causes at age 88.

A judge ruled Christopher Harris mentally cruel in his divorce from the Gees' daughter
The former son-in-law of Raymond "Rick" Gee has been arrested in the slaying of five people in Beason, Illinois on September 21. But a whole lot of questions remain unanswered.
Christopher J. Harris, 30, of McLean County, Illinois, will be charged in the beating deaths of Rick Gee, his wife Ruth, and three kids aged 11-16. A three-year-old daughter survived the attack. But the question remains why it took the Logan County Sheriff's office so long to get their man.
Harris, we can conclude, would have made an obvious suspect from the start. He was divorced from Rick Gee's adult daughter Nicole in 2007 after a judge ruled that he'd been mentally cruel. In the he-said, she-said world of divorce court, you have to be a pretty mean bastard for a judge to tag you with the cruelty label. And in May, Nicole had gone back to court to get a hike in child support, giving him plenty of motive to be pissed off once again. Finally, Harris drives a primer gray pickup police have spent a week searching for...

Christopher Harris is accused of beating five in-laws to death
"This is my boyfriends family that this happened to. I was at the funeral and thought Nicole was acting strange but her entire family was brutally murdered so I figured that was normal. But now that I think about it you know she had to know that the man sleeping next to her was involved. They had been looking for the truck since the beginning and she knew what kind of truck he drove.
"Its all a bit strange to me and my first thought was insurance also but I didn't want to think that way. The funeral was extremely sad and hard to handle and I can't believe I was sitting two rows behind the MFer! It is absolutely disgusting and I hope for the sake of the family members every last one involved gets caught and brought to justice! Update baby Tabitha is responding and off all the tubing!"

He blames his mother-in-law for the massacre
After his arrest in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Mesac Damas confessed to the massacre of his wife and five children, and asked to be executed "right away" so he could be buried with them on Saturday. But given his confession, it seems he's either crazy, or trying to suck up to ecclesiastic powers before they go Old Testament on his ass. (See previous story here.)
Damas told reporters that he wanted to commit suicide but couldn't, "because if you kill yourself, you're not going to heaven." For reasons unknown, he also blamed his mother-in-law for the killings, though his arguments seems specious -- and deluded -- at best. "Her mom pretty much made me do it -- the devil, her spirit, whatever she worships..."
